1. Create Your Account

Define your financial baseline in the Profile settings. These variables fuel your 'Years to FI' calculations.

3. Connect Your Accounts
Add your various financial buckets. Currently, Avenlyon supports manual account creation to ensure maximum privacy and control.

- •Add Checking, Savings, and Investment accounts
- •Input your current starting balances

4. Import Transactions
Avenlyon uses your actual spending data to refine your FI forecasts. Download CSVs from your bank and import them in seconds.

- •Export your transaction history from your bank
- •Use the Bulk Import tool on the Transactions page
- •Map your CSV columns to Avenlyon's format

5. Categorize & Organize
Smart categorization helps you see exactly where your money goes. Set up rules to automate this process.

- •Assign categories (Groceries, Housing, etc.) to transactions
- •Create 'Merchant Rules' to auto-categorize recurring items
- •Tag transactions for 'One-time' vs 'Recurring' costs

6. Run Your FI Simulation
The power of Avenlyon comes alive here. See your projected path and test different future scenarios.
